GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Kenyon College women's cross country team opened its 2025 slate, hosting the Port Kenyon Opener, where the Owls scored 87 points to secure a fourth-place team finish.
Leading the way for Kenyon was senior
Anna Brown, who returned after not competing her junior year and claimed an impressive first-place finish with a 4k time of 14:04.6.

Penny Griffioen crossed the line in 15:11.6 to take 11th place out of 56 competitors. Second-year
Lucie Prior followed at 15:35.2, finishing 21st, while junior
Eva Shannon and teammate sophomore
Cassidy Kaler rounded out the team's scoring. Shannon finished 31st at 16:08.0 and Kaler grabbed 34th at 16.17.7.

Junior Hanna Gross added depth for Kenyon by placing 35th with a time of 16:33.1, while first-year
Turner Clark closed just behind in 39th at 16:47.0. Sophomore
Sasha Langholm and Senior
Isabel Prosnitz were the final runners for the Owls, with Langholm notching a 43rd place finish with a time of 16:57.3 and Prosnitz taking 51st in 18:07.7.

Taking a glance at the leaderboard, Ohio Wesleyan University repeated last year's dominance with five runners in the top seven, winning with 24 points. Wittenberg University followed in second with a score of 63, while Denison University (67) edged the Owls (87) for third place. Oberlin College rounded out the standings in fifth at 121 points.
