Brown claims bronze at Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio -- Kenyon College senior Anna Brown turned in a strong showing Saturday and led the Owls cross country team to a 10th-place team finish during the women's three-and-three-quarter mile run at Oberlin College's Regional Rumble.

Brown concluded the 6k race in 21:49.70 and took the third-place spot among the race's 213 runners. The time was not only Brown's best of the season, but the best of her collegiate career.

Brown's top-three effort went a long way in helping the Owls score 308 points and gain a 10th-place spot in the field of 25 NCAA Division III teams.

Providing reinforcements, Olivia Ide and Cassidy Kaler were the next two Kenyon runners to finish. Ide, a junior, stopped the clock at 24:25.60, claimed 65th place and posted 57 points to the Kenyon team tally. Kaler, a sophomore, crossed the finish line in 24:49.60 to claim 84th place and 75 team points.

Rounding out the Owls' top-five scoring runners were Hannah Gross and Lucie Prior. Gross, a junior, got a top-100 finish, placing 95th with a time of 25:01.10. Prior, a sophomore, finished just outside of the top-100, taking 102nd with a time of 25:05.80.

The Kenyon roster of seven also included Eva Shannon, who placed 149 (25:51.10) and Turner Clark, who finished 174th (26:52.30).

The race marked the end of the 2025 regular season for the Kenyon team. The Owls will now look ahead to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, which they will host on Saturday, November 1.
