Brown brings in third conference award this season

CLEVELAND – Since returning to the Kenyon College women's cross country team this season after taking a year off, senior Anna Brown has been a dominant force on the Owls and throughout the conference.

Brown brought in her third North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Athlete of the Week award this season after leading the team at the Oberlin Regional Rumble meet this past weekend.

The South Dartmouth native concluded the race in 21:49.70 and took the third-place spot among the race's 213 runners. Although the course didn't measure the standard 6k, the time was Brown's best of the season. Her top-three effort went a long way in helping the Owls score 308 points and gain a 10th-place spot in the field of 25 NCAA Division III teams.

With her third honor of 2025, Brown joins Emma Becker as the second Kenyon woman since 2019 to amass three NCAC Athlete of the Week cross country awards in one season.

Brown and the rest of the Owls will now look ahead to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, which they will host on Saturday, November 1.
