GAMBIER, Ohio – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the organization's 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, and three members of the Kenyon College program, sophomores Andrew Adams, Justin Buchwalter, and Lucas de Alarcon, were recognized for their excellence on the field and in the classroom.
The Academic All-District program honors top student-athletes who demonstrate high-level academic achievement while serving as key contributors to their teams. To be eligible, nominees must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and either appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or start at least 66 percent of those matches.
Adams, a sophomore midfielder carrying a 3.66 GPA, played a pivotal role throughout Kenyon's 2025 campaign. He started all 18 of his appearances and logged 1,241 minutes, third-most on the team, and ranked among the team's most reliable midfield presences. A connector in possession and a steady contributor in transition, Adams tallied two assists on the season.
Buchwalter, also a sophomore midfielder, earned the distinction with a standout 3.95 GPA. He saw action in 17 games and drew seven starts, contributing one goal and one assist across 701 minutes. His versatility allowed him to impact both sides of the pitch, providing depth and consistency in the Owls' midfield rotation.
De Alarcon, a sophomore forward with a 3.85 GPA, made his mark on the attacking front. Appearing in all 18 games and starting 12, he totaled 928 minutes and netted two goals for Kenyon. His movement and vision added an important dimension to the Owls' offensive structure.
