Owls claim spot in 2025 NCAA Championship

GAMBIER, Ohio -- For the third time in the last four seasons, the Kenyon College men's golf team will be participating in the NCAA Division III Championship. The NCAA Selection Committee announced Monday that the Owls are one of 43 teams that will be competing for the national title.

Of those 43 teams, 34 won their conference tournaments this season and gained automatic qualification into the Championship. Kenyon was one of nine teams that made its way in via an at-large berth.

The Owls are currently ranked at No. 15 in Scoreboard's most recent national poll. They were runner-up at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, which was one of the team's five, top-5 finishes throughout the season.

At last year's NCAA Championship, the Owls finished in a tie for eighth place, the program's best finish on the national stage. Three seasons ago, the Kenyon team placed 15th at the 2022 NCAA Championship. Overall, this is the Kenyon program's sixth appearance in the NCAA Championship.

This season's Championship will be held at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York, and at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, New York. The first two rounds of the championship will play out simultaneously at the two courses. After the second round of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams. The final two rounds of the Championship will be played at Midvale.

Play starts on Tuesday, May 20 and ends on Friday, May 23.
