NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- On Friday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) announced the 256 NCAA Division III student-athlete honorees named to the organization's 2025 All-Region Teams. For the fourth straight season, Kenyon College's Nola Garand was recognized as an All-Region performer, securing a second consecutive All-Region First Team award in the Great Lakes Region.
Garand adds another award to her stellar Kenyon career as the senior has garnered both All-Region and all-conference recognition over each of her four seasons in Gambier. The four-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honoree was also named NCAC Newcomer of the Year as a first-year in 2022, and she has played a huge part in Kenyon's success over the last four years.
The goalkeeper graduates with the second-most saves in program history, as her 557 career stops soars past the third-place mark of 476 and sits only behind the 759 saves secured by Chase Kreuter from 2007-2010. Her career 10.23 goals against average ranks seventh all-time, and her .481 save percentage and 8.07 saves per game both rank ninth in the Kenyon record books.
This season, Garand set a career-high with 170 saves, the 10th-best single-season total in Kenyon history. Starting all 16 of the Owls' games in the cage, she saved 45.9 percent of the shots she faced and allowed 13.89 goals per game.
Garand is one of just 11 All-Region First Team goalkeepers in the nation across eight NCAA DIII regions. With her All-Region recognition, Garand is now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2025 IWLCA Division III All-American teams next week on Friday, May 23.
