Garand gears up for IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- On Tuesday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) released the rosters for the 2025 Senior All-Star games for NCAA Division I, II, and III. Recent Kenyon College graduate Nola Garand was among the DIII student-athletes selected for participation, adding another honor to a stellar Kenyon career.

The players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams, Blue and White, and Garand will be gearing up for the DIII Blue All-Stars. The goalkeeper is one of just four DIII goalies to secure a spot on the national squad, and she is one of just 12 total senior keepers named Senior All-Stars, as each team has two goaltenders.

Garand will be Kenyon's first IWLCA Senior All-Star selection since Brett Bearrows in 2022. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, on Saturday, May 31. Garand and her DIII teammates are set to play at 12:30 p.m.

The honor adds to Garand's lengthy list of awards over her four years in Gambier. This year, she was named an IWLCA All-Region honoree for the fourth straight season, securing a second consecutive All-Region First Team award in the Great Lakes Region. Additionally, Garand has garnered All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors each year, making the First Team every time. She was also named NCAC Newcomer of the Year as a first-year in 2022 after making an immediate impact in the cage.

In the Kenyon record books, Garand graduated with the second-most saves in program history, compiling 557 stops to surpass third place by 81 saves. She also ranks in the top 10 in goals against average (10.23), save percentage (.481), and saves per game (8.07).

This season, the Southborough, Massachusetts native made a career-high 170 saves, the 10th-best total in Kenyon history. She was a constant presence in the cage for the Owls, starting all 16 games.
