Brown’s All-Ohio result leads to NCAC honor

CLEVELAND -- For the second time in her two races this season, Kenyon College senior Anna Brown was tabbed the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) women's cross country Athlete of the Week.

The announcement, made Tuesday by the NCAC, came on the heels of Brown's performance in Friday's All-Ohio Intercollegiate Classic, hosted by Cedarville University. The event welcomed teams from all NCAA and NAIA divisions. Within the massive group of 281 runners, Brown placed 10th with a time of 22:11.3. More impressively, that time held up as the fastest time among the 133 NCAA Division III runners in the race.

Additionally, Brown's All-Ohio time was a personal record and now sits as the top time, by more than 20 seconds, of any other woman in the NCAC this season.

Brown and the rest of the Owls will be back in action on October 3, when they make the short trip to Delaware, Ohio for the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational.
