Belova named NCAC Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athletes of the Week for September 9, with Kenyon College sophomore Sasha Belova notching her second selection of her career.

Belova took on a talented field in the Tartan Invitational hosted by Carnegie Mellon University at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. She would go on to finish in T27 position ahead of many highly ranked finishers. Belova shot 224 (+8) through 54 holes at Nemacolin. She snagged two birdies in the first round enroute to a 73.

In arguably the best field and toughest course in the country that week Belova stood out. The scoring average was 239 with Belova besting the field average by a total of 15 shots.

Belova and the Owls final event of the fall season takes place on October 12, at the Clovernook Intercollegiate hosted by Wittenberg at the Clovernook Country Club.
