Owls gain team award, Brown nets individual honor

NEW ORLEANS  – For the sixth straight season and the 17th time overall, the Kenyon College women's track and field program earned the distinction of being named an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Additionally, Anna Brown, a senior member of the team, was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete.

To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor, the student-athletes on a team's 2025-26 roster had to produce a combined cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better. The Owls surpassed that mark easily, posting an impressive grade point average of 3.56.

To gain the individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete award, a student-athlete had to compile a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and had to compete in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship and/or had to finish the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event.

Brown rang up top-50 national marks in the 800-meter run. During the indoor season, she was ranked at No. 42 and then, during the outdoor season, she moved all the way up to No. 24. More importantly, Brown qualified for the award by competing in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, where she placed 14th in the 800-meter race.

In the classroom, Brown majored in English and graduated from Kenyon in May.
