Brown caps career with All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Anna Brown's final run in a Kenyon College uniform came on the national stage. Her next honor came from the region.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honorees on Tuesday, with Brown earning a spot on the Great Lakes Region team in the 800-meter run.

The USTFCCCA awards All-Region honors to the top-eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end, along with members of the region's top-eight relay teams. Brown earned her place among the Great Lakes Region's top 800-meter runners after authoring the fastest season of her career.

The recognition added another postseason award to a career that ended with Brown standing among the nation's best. At the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Brown raced in the preliminary round of the 800 and crossed the line in 2:10.73, placing 14th in a field of 22 national qualifiers. The time was just shy of her own Kenyon record of 2:10.65, which she set two weeks earlier, but it was enough to secure Second-Team All-America status.

With the result, Brown became Kenyon's second women's outdoor track and field All-American in as many seasons, following Paula Soric's All-America finish in the triple jump in 2025.

Tuesday's All-Region honor marks Brown's second career USTFCCCA All-Region award in the 800 after she also earned the distinction during the 2025 indoor season. It also adds to an already loaded resume that includes Second-Team All-America recognition, 11 career all-conference honors, three Outdoor Track and Field All-NCAC awards, four Indoor Track and Field All-NCAC awards, multiple NCAC Athlete of the Week selections, two All-NCAC finishes in the 800, and now three all-region awards.
