CHESTER, Pa. – Kenyon College senior Anna Brown made one final push toward the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Monday evening, representing the Owls as the squad's lone competitor at the Widener Final Qualifier hosted by Widener University.
Competing in the women's 800-meter run, Brown delivered another record-setting performance as she chased a stronger national qualifying mark. The senior crossed the finish line in 11th place with a personal-best time of 2:10.65, a mark that currently ranks No. 23 in NCAA Division III while also resetting her own Kenyon College program record in the event.
Brown's time eclipsed her previous collegiate and school-best mark of 2:11.72, which she established earlier this outdoor season during the March 20-21 weekend at the Emory Spring Break Classic hosted by Emory University.
Now, Brown awaits the official NCAA Division III Championship selections to see if her newly established personal record will be enough to punch her ticket to the national stage.
