Trio of Owls earns All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honorees for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced recently by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Those from Kenyon College honored as All-Region athletes were Josh Greville, Owen Rodstrom, and Charlie Blackmer.

The USTFCCCA maps out the country into ten regions and the top-eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.

Greville, a senior who was named an All-Region student-athlete for the heptathlon in each of the last two indoor seasons, gained his third career All-Region award in the decathlon during this past outdoor season. On April 25-26, Greville rang up 5,846 points and took third place in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) decathlon. His point total held up as the fifth best among all student-athletes in the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region.

Blackmer, a sophomore, is now a two-time All-Region honoree after collecting his first recognition in the 800-meter race during the indoor season. His All-Region honor for the outdoor season came in the 1,500-meter, an event in which he posted a season-best time of 3:50.97 at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 11. That time, a Kenyon program record, stood as the third-best mark this season in the Great Lakes Region.

A first-time All-Region winner, Rodstrom, a senior during the 2026 campaign, earned his accolade for his performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. During the NCAC Championship meet, which was held at Kenyon, Rodstrom won the conference crown by finishing the event in a personal-best 9:18.48, which was the second fastest time recorded in the Great Lakes Region.
