Kenyon men collect USTFCCCA academic awards

NEW ORLEANS  – For the first time in program history, the Kenyon College Owls had three members of the team—Charlie Blackmer, Josh Greville, and Owen Rodstrom—named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athletes. Additionally, the Owls collected their sixth straight, and 17th overall, USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award.

To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor, the student-athletes on a team's 2025-26 roster had to produce a combined cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better. The Owls surpassed that mark easily, posting an impressive grade point average of 3.36.

To gain the individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete award, a student-athlete had to compile a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and had to compete in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship and/or had to finish the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event.

Rodstrom made the cut by ranking 49th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Blackmer took the No. 42 spot in the ranking for the indoor 800-meter race, as well as claiming the No. 50 spot in the outdoor 1,500-meter race. Greville cleared the mark with Kenyon's 4x200-meter relay team that set a program record during the indoor season, at The College of Wooster Invitational.   

Multiple times the Kenyon program had a single USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete named, but, until now, never had more than that during an academic year. Both Greville and Rodstrom graduated in May. Greville majored in biology and environmental studies, while Rodstrom majored in mathematics. Blackmer, who was a sophomore in 2025-26, will continue his studies in neuroscience.
