Owls sweep major awards, stack All-NCAC selections

CLEVELAND – Following an undefeated run in conference play, the Kenyon College women's tennis team was well represented on the 2025-26 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) women's tennis list, as five Owls earned singles recognition and two doubles pairings landed All-NCAC honors.

Eleni Lazaridou and Kiara Komlodi led the way as All-NCAC First Team singles selections, while Shadia Amado Aguad and Hana Nouaime secured Second Team spots. Clare Hudson rounded out the singles slate with a Third Team nod. On the doubles side, both Kenyon pairings earned First Team honors, as Lazaridou and Nouaime were joined by the tandem of Komlodi and Amado Aguad.

The announcement also came with a haul of major awards for the Owls. Lazaridou was named NCAC Player of the Year for the fourth straight season, becoming the first women's tennis player in conference history to collect the award four times. Lazaridou and Nouaime also repeated as the NCAC Doubles Team of the Year, while Komlodi was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year. Additionally, Kenyon earned NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors after head coach Dominic Modise and the Owls rolled to a perfect 7-0 conference record, the program's league-leading 23rd NCAC title, and the 2026 NCAC Tournament crown.

Lazaridou continued to cement herself as one of the best players in conference history, earning her fourth All-NCAC First Team singles honor in as many seasons. Playing every dual match at No. 1 singles, the senior posted a 13-4 dual record and a 3-1 mark against conference opponents. Overall, she sits at 17-6 on the season and is currently riding a four-match winning streak. Nationally, Lazaridou is ranked No. 30 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings.

Komlodi made an immediate splash in her first season with the Owls, earning All-NCAC First Team singles honors and NCAC Newcomer of the Year. The first-year owns a team-best 22-8 overall singles record and went 16-6 in dual matches, including a 5-0 mark at No. 1 singles and an 11-5 record at No. 2. She also went a perfect 6-0 in conference singles play and is currently ranked No. 41 nationally by the ITA.

Amado Aguad added another All-NCAC honor to her decorated career, landing on the Second Team in singles. The senior is now a four-time All-NCAC singles selection after earning Second Team honors in 2023 and 2024 and First Team recognition in 2025. This season, Amado Aguad posted a 9-8 dual singles record while playing at Nos. 2, 3, and 4. She went 3-0 in NCAC singles action and did most of her damage at No. 4, where she finished 6-7 against a loaded schedule.

Nouaime joined Amado Aguad on the Second Team, earning her second career All-NCAC singles selection after making the Third Team as a first-year. The sophomore went 10-6 in dual singles play and finished 3-0 against NCAC opponents. Nouaime competed across the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 flights, highlighted by an 8-6 record at No. 3 singles, while posting a 16-7 overall singles mark.

Hudson rounded out Kenyon's singles honorees with a Third Team selection, marking her second straight All-NCAC singles award after earning Second Team honors last season. The sophomore went 6-4 in dual singles play and 9-6 overall, while playing primarily at No. 5. She also went 2-0 in conference singles matches, giving KC another steady presence in the lower half of the lineup.

In doubles, Lazaridou and Nouaime once again stood atop the conference. The duo earned First Team honors and repeated as the NCAC Doubles Team of the Year after posting a 13-5 dual record, all at No. 1 doubles. The tandem went 4-0 against NCAC opponents and is ranked No. 14 nationally by the ITA. Overall, Lazaridou and Nouaime are 18-6 together this season and have won five straight matches.

Komlodi and Amado Aguad gave Kenyon a second First Team doubles pairing after putting together one of the strongest records in the conference. The duo went 15-5 in dual matches, including a perfect 5-0 mark in NCAC play. They competed at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, going 2-0 at the top flight and 13-5 in the second spot. Their selection helped Kenyon land multiple First Team doubles pairings, while also contributing to the Owls' perfect 20-0 team doubles record against NCAC opponents.

As a team, Kenyon has put together another standout season, carrying an 18-5 overall record, a perfect 7-0 NCAC mark, and a flawless 10-0 home record, allowing them to claim both the NCAC regular-season and tournament championships. Kenyon also earned the league's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament.
