BEREA, Ohio – With one final opportunity to strengthen her NCAA Championship résumé, Kenyon College senior Anna Brown delivered another strong performance Friday afternoon at the Garrison Dillard Twilight Meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
Representing the Owls as the squad's lone competitor, Brown competed in the women's 800-meter run while looking to improve her standing in the national qualifying picture ahead of next week's NCAA selections.
Brown turned in one of her strongest races of the outdoor season, crossing the finish line in second place with a time of 2:13.51 in a loaded field of 36 competitors. She narrowly edged out Audrey Karwowski of Grove City College, who finished third with a mark of 2:13.53.
The time also marked an improvement from Brown's showing at last week's North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, where she clocked a 2:16.25 in the event.
