Three selected to CSC Academic All-District Team

GAMBIER, Ohio -- Tuesday, three members of the Kenyon College field hockey team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 At-Large Academic All-District Team. The trio included juniors Maren Lawrence and Casey Master, as well as sophomore Zady Hasse.

In order to be considered for the At-Large Academic All-District Team, a nominee had to be on the team's active roster for at least two years and had to possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Additionally, for field hockey, the nominees had to compete in a minimum of 90 percent of the team's games, or had to start a minimum of 66 percent of the team's games.

The CSC At-Large program includes nominees from 13 different NCAA women's sports (three of which Kenyon offers), and limits each institution to six nominees. Kenyon filled that allotment with the three field hockey athletes, as well as three from the women's lacrosse team.

Lawrence, a forward, led the 2025 Kenyon team with eight goals and 18 points. Both those marks ranked among the top-10 across all players in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). In three seasons combined, Lawrence has 21 goals, four assists and 46 points. She's a three-time All-NCAC pick and, now, a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. In the classroom, Lawrence majors in environmental studies.

Master, a midfielder and a political science major, is also a two-time winner of the CSC Academic All-District award. She's coming off a 2025 season in which she tallied one goal, one assist and was named to the All-NCAC first team for the first time in her career. In 38 career games at Kenyon, Master has recorded seven goals, five assists and 19 points.

Hasse concentrated her efforts in the defensive end of the field, where she helped Kenyon hold opponents to an average of 2.31 goals per game. She, like Lawrence and Master, played in all 16 games for the Owls, who went 5-11 overall and 5-4 within NCAC play. Hasse, who majors in art history, is a two-time All-NCAC player and first-time winner of the CSC Academic All-District award.
