Owls collect IWLCA academic accolades

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released today its annual list of Academic Honor Roll members, as well as its list of teams that were named Academic Honor Squads. The Kenyon College Owls not only earned the team award, but also had eight student-athletes collect individual accolades.

The IWLCA named 357 teams across all NCAA and NAIA divisions as Academic Honor Squads. The honor was bestowed on teams that possessed a combined grade point average of 3.20 or better for the duration of the 2025-26 academic year. The Owls, who had a roster of 26, checked in with a team grade point average of 3.49 to secure their sixth straight, and 17th overall, IWLCA team award.

Those Kenyon student-athletes who landed spots on the IWLCA's Academic Honor Roll were seniors Delaney Champeau, Spencer Kirsch, Lily Mason, Ella Rigoli, Cecily Torres, and Elena Zuvekas, as well as juniors Bridgette Cassidy and Maddie Ratcliffe.

Recipients of the award had to be a junior, senior, or graduate student and had to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater. Kirsch, Rigoli, Torres, and Zuvekas were all two-time winners of the award, with the other four Kenyon student-athletes being first-time winners.

Directed by third-year coach Angelica Gero, the 2026 Owls registered a 9-8 overall record, including a 5-2 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) mark. The Owls finished third in the conference standings and were one of four teams to make the NCAC postseason tournament.
