HIRAM, Ohio – Eleven different Kenyon College Ladies scored one goal or more during Thursday's women's lacrosse game at Hiram College. The Ladies raced out to a 15-1 halftime lead and then called the dogs off before settling on an 18-1 North Coast Athletic Conference victory.
The win was the Ladies' fourth in a row and seventh in their last eight games. It also sets up Kenyon's next contest with The College of Wooster Fighting Scots, who visit Mavec Field on Saturday at 1 p.m. A Kenyon win over Wooster clinches a spot in the conference playoffs for the Ladies, who are now 8-2 overall and 4-1 in NCAC action.
Kenyon scored six goals, including two by junior
Alex Bair, in the game's first ten minutes against the Terriers. Freshman Jane Symmes also scored one of those first six goals and then in a span of 46 seconds, she scored three more to give the Ladies a 9-0 lead with about 16 minutes still left in the half.

Marissa Henderson scored another Kenyon goal and kicked in the 10-goal running clock rule. Henderson, as well as sophomore
Caroline Shipman, scored twice before the teams got to the halftime break.
Other multi-point games for Kenyon were recorded by
Emily Nichols,
Leah Sack, and Alexandra Hamilton. Nichols had a goal and an assist, Sack had a goal and three assists, and Hamilton tacked on a goal and two assists.
At the other end of the field, Kenyon goalkeeper
Meredith Bentsen was rarely tested. She saw just five Hiram shots. She saved three of them, let one sail wide, and let one slip by her. Bentsen now owns an updated 8.90 goals against average for the season.
Hiram's lone goal came from JoLyn Grover. The Terriers are now 3-9 overall and 0-5 in the NCAC.
