He shot an even par 72 in the first round, carding three birdies and three bogeys to get off to a great start. He backed it up with a decorated round two scorecard, making six birdies en route to a 69 (-2). For the tournament, he ranked third in par three scoring (3.0), second in par four scoring (3.94), and first in par five scoring (4.50).

Connor Gray finished second on the leaderboard for the Owls, shooting nine over par and winding up eighth individually. After shooting an 81 (+9) on day one, he came back with an even par finish in round two.
