ITA serves team, individual honors to Kenyon men

GILBERT, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced recently that the Kenyon College Owls won both team and individual academic honors for the 2024-25 campaign. The Owls were tabbed an ITA All-Academic Team, while six student-athletes on the Kenyon 2024-25 roster were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

The group of individual academic honorees included Rakkan Audeh, Gianluca Bocanegra, Christophe Leblanc, Paulo Pocasangre Kreling, Rohan Sriram, and Eric Zhang. In order to be eligible for the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award, a student-athlete had to record a 3.5 grade point average, or better, for the duration of the academic year.

Leblanc, who graduated in May with a degree in mathematics, earned the ITA's academic award for the fourth straight year. Zhang graduated as a three-time Scholar-Athlete, while both Pocasangre Kreling and Bocanegra are now two-time winners.

The All-Academic Team Award was Kenyon's ninth straight and 18th overall. To be eligible, a team had to have all its members combine for a 3.2 grade point average or better. The Owls, who had a roster of 12 during the 2024-25 season, produced a team grade point average of 3.36.
