Kenyon College Athletics

For the Ladies, wins and losses were not as important in 1972 as simply playing the game. When Kenyon's field hockey team debuted that season, they earned a place in College history as the first women's varsity athletic program. Seventeen women contributed to the development of that team and the program, which has blossomed into one of the most competitive women's sports at Kenyon. They also earned the Ladies' first varsity victory, a 7-0 decision over Division I Bowling Green State University.
