Hall of Fame
Elliot Rushton was a 13-time All-American distance swimmer and eight-time NCAA championship event title winner. The bulk of that title load was accumulated in his senior season in which he won the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle in NCAA record times. He also won the 400-yard individual medley, swam with the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team and was voted the 2005 NCAA Swimmer of the Year, as well as Kenyon's Senior Athlete of the Year. As a junior, Rushton won the 2004 NCAA title in the 500-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle relay, giving him back-to-back wins in those events. In the 1,650-yard freestyle, he went a step further, racking up three consecutive titles from his sophomore to his senior season.Â
