Hall of Fame
Tom Edwards is the name most synonymous with Kenyon athletics. He began his coaching career in 1954 and the following 36 years included service as a coach to the swimming, soccer, tennis, and golf programs. His swim teams won ten consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference crowns and in 1962 the team placed 24th in the nation, laying the foundation of what is now the NCAA's preeminent program. He was named Kenyon's first Dean of Students in 1957, but continued to coach. In 1990 he was awarded an honorary doctorate and in 1991 he was named dean of Students Emeritus.
