Hall of Fame
A nine-time All-American standout, Mark Speer was the most successful male athlete in the history of Kenyon's track and field teams. During his senior season, Speer captured fourth place in the decathlon and seventh in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III outdoor championship, and claimed seventh in both the high jump and 55-meter hurdles at the indoor championship. At the 1986 national meet, Speer placed second in the high jump with a 6'10" leap that still stands as a Kenyon and NCAC record today.
