Erica Carroll's excellence in the pool and in the classroom is evidenced by the fact that she is one of only five Ladies to be named both NCAA Division III Swimmer of the Year and an NCAA Postgraduate Scholar. She earned her Swimmer of the Year distinction at the 1999 National Championship, where she won three individual titles and swam on three winning relays. She is among 11 swimmers to earn at least 26 All-America awards in her Kenyon career. At the time of her graduation, Carroll's total of 16 NCAA championship titles was the tenth-best in Ladies' history.
