Kathryn Lane was a fixture in the national spotlight for the Kenyon women's tennis team. She qualified twice for both the NCAA Division III singles and doubles championships and concluded her Kenyon career as a three-time All-American. In 1989, Lane teamed with fellow 2006 KAA Hall of Fame inductee Julia Kipka to finish as the national runner-up doubles team, a run which helped them become the first Ladies tennis players to bring All-America honors to Gambier. Lane also added the 1991 Rolex Midwest Regional championship to her impressive resume.
