Hall of Fame
Robert Heaps was a three-time winner of the lacrosse program's James A. Buffalin Award, an honor given to the team's top defenseman. His efforts translated directly to team success, as Kenyon won the conference championship in 1972 and put together a combined record of 23-3 during Heaps' junior and senior seasons. He was a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, as well as a three-time All-Midwest honoree. Additionally, Heaps gained national recognition with two second-team All-America (1972 and '73). He capped off his senior year by earning a spot in the USILA's North/South All-Star game.
