Kenyon College Athletics

Following the field hockey team's first season of intercollegiate athletics competition in the fall of 1972, Kenyon added a lacrosse team to its stable of women's sports in the spring. The Ladies competed in only four contests that season, but established the cornerstone for another highly-competitive and successful women's athletic program at the College. Progress came relatively quickly for the women's lacrosse team, which advanced to the national championship tournament for the first time in its tenth season of existence in 1982.
