Len Swanson was a three-sport standout for Kenyon, earning letters in baseball, basketball, and football. He emerged as one of the top scorers in Ohio on the hardwood with an average of 11.1 points per game during the 1934-35 season and was the only Kenyon player named to the Ohio Conference team his junior and senior years. Swanson also received three letters in football and two in baseball.
