An athlete from season to season, Bill Lowry was one of Kenyon's rare three-sport competitors to receive a varsity letter in each sport all four years. Lowry didn't just participate in three sports, he excelled in all of them. That was evidenced by the fact that he was wooed by professional organizations in all three sports, including the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers and MLB's St. Louis Cardinals. Following graduation, he played semi-professional baseball and basketball in Chicago.
